New Parking Pay Stations On Charlotte Street

The Regional Municipality says there are two new parking pay stations on Charlotte Street in Sydney between Dorchester and Pitt streets and parking meters have been removed on the section between Pitt and Wentworth streets to make way for more pay stations.

The new pay stations will require drivers to enter their license plate number.

People can pay to park with coins, Visa, Mastercard or the Blinkay App that can be downloaded to smart phones for free from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

The municipality says Bylaw Enforcement Officers will be educating and warning drivers about the new pay stations for a few weeks and will only ticket people who refuse to comply after being educated.

It says enforcement of the new pay stations will start on April 15th.
