CBU International Student Allocation Reduced

Cape Breton University is getting a 52 percent reduction in its international student allocations for 2024 compared to last year.

CBU is getting 5,086 international study permit applications this year.

That’s the same number it got in 2021.

The move comes after the federal government announced changes to the study permit program to decrease the number of international students coming to Canada.

The total number of international study permit applications for Nova Scotia this year is 12,900.

That’s down about 7,000 from last year.
