Diesel Down After Interrupter Clause Invoked

The price of diesel went down overnight after the Energy Board used its interrupter clause to change the price early this week.

Diesel dropped by 7.1 cents a litre and now goes for a minimum of $1.97 in Cape Breton.

The Energy Board says the early change was necessary because of a significant shift in the market price for diesel.

Meanwhile, the price of gas didn’t change.

The minimum price for a litre of gas on the Island is still $1.71.8 cents.
