Ontario Man Charged with Impaired Driving, Violating Health Rules In North Sydney
Regional Police say a 65 year-old Ontario man was charged with violating public health orders and impaired driving after he pulled up to the Marine Atlantic ferry terminal in North Sydney last night.
Police say they were called to the terminal at about 11:00 when they were told about a possible impaired driver in the lineup.
They say employees stopped the man from boarding the ferry.
He was charged with impaired driving after getting a breathalyzer test and his vehicle was towed.
Police say they learned the man is from Etobicoke, Ontario and didn’t have permission to enter the province under current public health restrictions.
He was fined over $2,400.
