by The CBRM has announced the date for its annual heavy garbage pickup.
The collection of heavy and bulky items will start for all areas on Monday, April 28th with people asked to have their items by the side of the road by 6:00 that morning.
People are being encouraged to wait until the weekend of April 25th to 27th to put their heavy garbage out.
New this year is drop off sites for garbage for six consecutive Saturdays from April 19th to May 31st.
People can drop off their garbage at the waste disposal facility on the Sydney Port Access Road on those days as well as the Public Works drop-off sites in Glace Bay, New Waterford and North Sydney.
Meanwhile, the CBRM’s Great Cape Breton Clean Up community litter clean up day will be on Saturday, May 3rd with registration now open on the municipality’s website.
