The provincial Department of Communities/Culture/Tourism and Heritage says the province welcomed two million visitors in 2024.
That’s a 2 percent drop compared to 2023.
However, the government says tourism revenues grew 10 per cent in 2024 to reach $3.5 billion.
The number of visitors arriving by air increased by six per cent last year while there was a seven per cent decline in the number of visitors arriving by road.
There were more visitors from Western Canada and the United States in 2024, while there were fewer from Atlantic Canada and Ontario.
