Statistics Canada says Cape Breton’s unemployment rate was 9.3% in June.
That’s down from 10.4% in May but up from 8.4% in June of last year.
Meanwhile, the national jobless rate edged down by a tenth of a percentage point in June to 6.5%.
The federal agency says only 18,000 jobs were created in the country last month.
Nova Scotia’s unemployment rate in June was 6.6% and that’s down from 6.8% in May.
