CB Reg Police found a 45-year-old man dead after responding to a well-being check on Sunday morning in Sydney.
The body was discovered at 11:40 am Sunday morning at a residence on Gunn Street. An autopsy will be done tomorrow in Dartmouth.
The autopsy will determine whether the death was criminal or not. The Regional Police did not release the identity of the man.
The CBRM is now a Foreign Trade Point.
Sydney-Victoria Liberal MP Mark Eyking announced the new Cape Breton Regional Municipality FTZ at a press conference early Saturday morning.
The Foreign Trade Point includes the Port of Sydney, McCurdy Airport and the surrounding logistics and warehousing capabilities.
Foreign Trade Points are locations designed to provide businesses with easy access for eligibility for tariff and tax exemptions on the purchase or importing of raw materials, components or finished goods. Seventy-five thousand dollars is being invested into the project by both the municipality and the federal government.

A presentation will be made to the Cape Breton Victoria Regional School Board on Monday by a group of parents from Bridgeport.
Leslie Cosnick has four children at Bridgeport School and says there is mold and subsidence at John Bernard Croak School and fire safety problems at Tompkins Elementary.
She says that the school board is overlooking the health and safety concerns of those buildings and that they are not suitable for children in September.
Bridgeport will close at the end of the school year with its Grade Primary-5 students going to John Bernard Croak.
Meanwhile former government marine inspector Brennon MacLean from Bridgeport sent a letter to provincial Education minister Karen Casey saying that Tompkins is lacking modern firefighting protection.
School board chair Lorne Green said all of their schools are safe and that the board’s decision is final.
