Nov. 6th – Daylight Saving Time
Most of the United States, Canada, and Mexico’s northern border cities end Daylight Saving Time (DST) on Sunday, November 6, 2016. Clocks will be set back 1 hour to standard time from 02:00 (2 am) to 01:00 (1 am), local time. Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour earlier on Sunday, November 6, 2016 than the day before, so there will be more light in the morning.
Nov. 1st. – All Saints’ Day
All Saints’ Day, also known as All Hallows, Day of All the Saints, is a festival celebrated on 1 November by the Latin Church of the Roman Catholic Church and some other Western Christian traditions, and on the first Sunday after Pentecost in Eastern Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy, in honor of all the saints, known and unknown. The liturgical celebration begins at Vespers on the evening of 31 October and ends at the close of 1 November. It is thus the day before All Souls’ Day.
Osteoporosis Awareness Month
The month of November is Osteoporosis Awareness Month and Osteoporosis Canada wants to work to focus public attention upon the importance of building strong bones for life through awareness and education.
