Statistics Canada says Cape Breton’s unemployment rate in May was 10.4 percent.
That’s down from 11.7 percent in April and 11.5 percent in May of last year.
Meanwhile, the national unemployment rate was 6.2% in May.
That’s up a tenth of a percentage point from April.
Nova Scotia’s unemployment rate in May was 6.6 percent, down a tenth of a percentage point from April.
