Heavy Garbage Pickup Set For April 29th

The Regional Municipality says this year’s heavy garbage pickup will start on Monday, April 29th.

People are being asked to have their large, heavy or bulky household items placed at the curb no later than 6 o’clock in the morning on that day.

A number of items will not be picked up, including TV’s, computers, and other electronics included in the Electronics Recycling Program, as well as used vehicle tires, propane tanks and cylinders, insulation and construction and demolition material.

For more information, people can phone the Solid Waste Management Hotline at (902) 567-1337.
