Former Nurse Will Have Warrant Issued For Her Arrest If She Doesn’t Show Up In Court Today
A former nurse charged after the death of a man on the grounds of the Regional Hospital in Sydney will have an arrest warrant issued for her if she doesn’t appear in court today.
48 year-old Valerie MacGillivray from Glace Bay was scheduled to have a trial date set yesterday on a charge of forgery.
However, she didn’t show up in court.
42 year-old Tammy Carrigan-Warner from Sydney River has also been charged with forgery in the case and is due back in court on April 30th to set a trial date.
Both have been fired from their nursing jobs.
The 79 year-old man was a patient at the hospital and was found unconscious on the sidewalk outside the building in February of last year.
Police say documents on the man’s status at the hospital were forged.
