Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating a couple of incidents of vandalism at the Christmas display in Wentworth Park in Sydney. Police received complaints from CBRM Parks staff today, after the sleigh and reindeer were found tipped over and damaged during the morning on Boxing Day, and other pieces of the decorations and lighting in the display were found broken and torn apart. The damage is believed to have been done sometime after security left the site for the night at about 2 AM on Friday. Parks staff temporarily removed the display for repairs and returned it to the band shell at Wentworth Park, but staff noticed this morning that several of the lights had been stolen from the display. Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
