Transportation Dept. Dealing With Potholes In Reserve Mines

The provincial Transportation Department says it’s made some temporary repairs along a section of Sydney Road in Reserve Mines where drivers have been hitting large potholes.

There were reports yesterday of three cars getting flat tires and possible rim damage because of the pot holes.

Pylons were put up to warn people about the hazard but they blew over in yesterday’s high winds.

The Transportation Department says it’s put down some cold mix asphalt in the area and it’s now trying to arrange for more permanent repairs with hot mix before local asphalt plants close down for the winter.
