Sydney Call Centre In Line For Payroll Rebate

The new owner of the former Servicom call centre is in line for a payroll rebate from the province.

Iowa-based Marlow Companies bought the operation in December and renamed it the Sydney Call Centre.

The move came after the call centre abruptly closed because of Servicom’s bankruptcy.

Nova Scotia Business Inc. says the Sydney Call Centre has the potential to create up to 750 jobs over three years.

If it does that, it will get a payroll rebate of nearly 2.5 million dollars.
