Province Reports 10th COVID Death, 16 More Cases

Health officials are reporting the tenth COVID-19-related death in the province.

They say it happened at the Northwood long-term care home in the Halifax area.

As of yesterday there was a total of 10 long-term care homes and unlicensed seniors homes in the province with cases of COVID-19, with 128 residents and 62 staff infected.

The Health Department also says sixteen new cases of COVID-19 were found in the province yesterday, bringing the total to 737.

There are no new cases in the Eastern zone with the number remaining at 46.

11 people in the province are now in hospital because of the virus while 286 have recovered.
