Province Announces 43 New COVID-19 Cases, Three Deaths Today
Nova Scotia is reporting three more COVID-19 deaths, bringing the total to seven in the province.
The deaths occurred yesterday at the Northwood long-term care home in Halifax Regional Municipality.
Forty-three new cases were identified yesterday.
Shannex is announcing today that a woman in her 80s, living at Fishermen’s Cove neighbourhood at Harbourstone Enhanced Care in Sydney River, has died from COVID-19 complications.
There are now 45 cases in the Eastern zone.
Premier Stephen McNeil says his greatest fear was that this virus would make its way into our long-term care homes.
The premier and Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia’s chief medical officer of health, will having a briefing tomorrow afternoon at 3:00.
Nova Scotia has 649 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
184 people have recovered.
Eleven people are in hospital with five in ICU.
