Police Want To Speak To Fatal Hit and Run Driver

RCMP want to speak to the driver of a grey Volkswagen after a 54-year-old Cape Breton man was killed in a hit and run on the 125 Sydney Bypass on the weekend.

Police say the crash happened near the George Street Exit at around 9:30 on Saturday night.

They add the man was walking along the highway when he was hit by a passing vehicle that kept going.

Police go on to say witnesses gave a description of the vehicle that would have damage to its front and passenger side.

They say they want to speak to the driver to get his or her side of the story.

RCMP is asking anyone with information on the crash to call them or Crime Stoppers.

The name of the man who was killed has not been released.
