Police Issue Warning About Dangerous Offender

Regional Police are warning people about a man who’s being called a high risk offender living in Glace Bay.

31 year-old Christopher French was arrested in Sydney in March on a charge of breaching his release conditions just a day after being released from Dorchester Penitentiary in New Brunswick.

French’s criminal history includes convictions for Break and Enter, Sexual Assault and Assault with a Weapon.

Police say he targeted senior women and young girls.

French is now subject to a number of conditions, including a Peace Bond and a curfew from 9 at night to 6 in the morning.

Anyone who sees French violating his conditions is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.

Police say any vigilante activity will not be tolerated.
