North Sydney Man Arrested After Stolen Car Crashes Into Police Vehicle

A 31-year-old North Sydney man is facing charges after Regional Police say a stolen car crashed into a police vehicle and another vehicle in North Sydney, this morning.

Police say they first got called about a Mazda car being stolen from a North Sydney home.

They say when officers found the car, the driver wouldn’t stop for them.

The officers continued to follow the car at what they say was a safe speed and distance.

However, police say the car rear-ended a police vehicle and a vehicle parked on the street at King and High Streets at around 9:30.

They say no one was hurt.

Police say the man was arrested for dangerous and impaired driving and other charges are pending.
