North Sydney Christmas Parade Back On

The North Sydney Volunteer Fire Department says its Christmas parade is back on.

The news comes after the Department announced earlier this week it couldn’t staff a parade because of new rules requiring more volunteers.

But the Fire Department says it’s had many offers of help, including from fire departments in George’s River, Florence, Coxheath and Glace Bay.

The North Sydney Christmas parade is now scheduled for December 1st at 3:00 in the afternoon.

A meeting for people who want to take part in the parade or volunteer to help will take place at the North Sydney Firefighters Club at 7:00 on the night of November 24th.
