The union for striking long-term care workers says a new round of talks with the province has ended without a deal.
The Canadian Union of Public Employees says negotiations that started last night continued until early this morning.
CUPE says it presented two counter offers with different wages that would bring the lowest paid long-term care workers closer to what it calls a living wage.
However, it says the new offer from the government would still leave support classifications at just over $23 an hour by the end of the contract in 2028.
The union says the strike will continue with workers at Shoreham Village in Chester hitting the picket line today and 2 more locals set to walk out next week.
