No Charges In Fatal Summer Bus Crash: RCMP
RCMP have determined that no charges will be laid in the bus crash that resulted in the death of a passenger in northern Cape Breton over the summer. On the afternoon of July 13th, RCMP responded to a report of a bus crash that occurred on The Cabot Trail, three kilometres south of Neils Harbour. An extensive investigation was carried out by police and a motor vehicle inspection performed by the Provincial Transportation Department’s Motor Carrier Division. RCMP say they’ve determined that the driver of the bus fell asleep. The bus company and the passengers on the bus have been updated on the outcome of the investigation.
