New rules take effect today for renters and landlords in the province.
Starting today, a landlord can send an eviction notice if a tenant is three days late on rent.
Tenants will then have ten days to pay, move out, or file an appeal through the Tenancies Program.
The province will also start publishing some decisions from residential tenancies hearings.
It says posting the decisions online will give people an idea of what to expect if they’re in a similar situation.
