Men Charged In Prostitution Ring Get Trial and Plea Dates

Trial and plea dates were set yesterday for some of the 27 men charged in a police prostitution sting in downtown Sydney.

Six of the 27 pleaded guilty to a charge of communicating for the purpose of obtaining sexual services during a court appearance, last month.

In court yesterday, one man pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined a total of $650.

7 others charged in the case entered not guilty pleas, yesterday.

They had trial dates set for June.

Eleven others are due back in court on December 3rd to enter pleas.

The police undercover operation targeted prostitution activity in downtown Sydney using three female undercover police officers.

The 10-day operation ran between August 26 and September 4.
