Man Wanted In Sydney Mines Shootings Arrested

Regional Police have arrested the man wanted after three people were injured in shootings in Sydney Mines on December 22nd.

42 year-old Raymond Shawn Daniel Leroy is due in Sydney Court today.

He faces counts of attempted murder, aggravated assault, uttering threats, break and enter, along with firearms charges.

A 28 year-old man and 41 year-old man along with a 21-year-old woman were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the shootings at a building on Barrington Street.

Leroy is an administrator of the Cape Breton Police Scanner group on Facebook that alerts the public when police are responding to calls.
