Man Rescued From Woods In Mira Area During Yesterday’s Storm

Regional Police say a police K-9 unit found a man lost in the woods during yesterday’s snow storm.

 Police say they got a call from the 22 year-old shortly before 10:15 in the morning.

The man told them he was lost in woods near Ducker Lake, between Hills Road and Dutch Brook in the Mira area.

Police called in Cape Breton Ground Search and Rescue to help in the search.

The man’s cellphone battery died but police say he was found at around 2:15 in the afternoon.

Police say he was checked out by paramedics and was found to be okay.
