Man Arrested After Theft From Reserve Street Petro Canada
A 35-year-old Glace Bay man has been charged with theft after the Petro Canada gas station and store on Reserve Street in Glace Bay was robbed, last week.
Charles Eugene Littler faces a count of theft over $5,000 as well as two Breaches of Probation and two Breaches of conditions.
Regional Police were called to the store at around 5:00 on Thursday evening when workers noticed what police describe as a substantial amount of cash had been taken from the office.
Police say they identified the person believed responsible with the help of video surveillance and witness information.
Littler was arrested at a home on Harrington Street in Glace Bay on Friday evening and held in custody over the weekend to await a court appearance today.
