Huge Cargo Plane Makes Unscheduled Stop In Sydney

Posts on social media show one of the world’s most distinctive planes landed at the McCurdy Sydney Airport, yesterday afternoon.

The Airbus Beluga is designed to carry large cargo and aircraft parts.

It was diverted to Sydney from its planned route to St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, after departing the Azores earlier yesterday.

The reason for the unexpected diversion is not known.

The airport posted video of the plane landing in Sydney on its Facebook page.
