Glace Bay Emergency Department Closed Indefinitely

The provincial Health Authority says Glace Bay Hospital’s emergency department is closed until further notice.

It says the closure is happening because of the unavailability of doctors and nurses.

Meanwhile, the Emergency Department at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital is still closed for maintenance.

The Emergency Department at the Northside General Hospital is closed to direct resources to other health care needs to support COVID-19 measures.

The Emergency Department at the Regional Hospital in Sydney is open 24 hours.
