18 New COVID Cases Reported

The province is reporting 18 new cases of COVID-19 today as it renews its State of Emergency.

None of the new cases are in the Eastern Zone that includes Cape Breton.

12 of the new cases are in the Central zone, with five in the Northern zone and one in the Western zone.

With 29 more recoveries reported today, there’s now a total of 162 confirmed active cases of COVID-19 in the province, including two in the Cape Breton County Community Health Network.

Six people in the province are currently in hospital with the virus.

The province’s State of Emergency has been extended to October 3rd.
