The Emergency Department at Glace Bay Hospital is closed this morning. The Cape Breton District Health Authority says the unexpected closure will continue until further notice because the Department has reached patient capacity. Just last week, the Emergency Department at the Northside General Hospital was temporarily closed because it had reached the maximum number of patients it could safely handle. The District says it will provide an update on the Glace Bay closure at noon.
