The price of gas and diesel went down overnight after the Energy Board used the interrupter clause to change the price early this week.
The Board says the changes were necessary because of significant shifts in the market prices.
Gas went down by 10.4 cents a litre and now goes for a minimum of $1.82.1 in Cape Breton.
Diesel dropped by 9.4 cents.
The minimum price for a litre of diesel on the Island is now $2.31.8.
