Gas and Diesel Take Big Drops After Interrupter Clause, Mid-Week Adjustment

Gas is now selling for less than a dollar a litre in Cape Breton after the Utility and Review Board used its interrupter clause, overnight.

Gas went down by 10.5 cents a litre and now goes for a minimum of 97.3 cents in Cape Breton.

The price of diesel fell by 10.3 cents and diesel now goes for a minimum of 93.7 cents a litre on the Island.

The UARB stepped in to reset fuel prices early this week after the price of oil plummeted over coronavirus concerns and the failure of OPEC to reach a deal on production cuts with non-members of the cartel.
