The province has announced about $347,000 for a new solar energy system at the former Centennial Arena in Sydney.
The money is going to the non-profit group Tomorrow’s Legends that’s taken over the arena and is converting it into a sports and community gathering facility.
The building will be called Legends Arena and will have an indoor training area, a recording studio, a multi-purpose room and spaces for a number of sports.
The province says there will be recreational and competitive sports opportunities for about 2,000 young people.
