Former GB Post Office Torn Down

The old Glace Bay Post Office building has been torn down.

The Regional Municipality bought the 58 year-old building on Main Street from the federal government for a dollar in October.

The tender for the demolition was awarded to B. Curry and Sons Construction from Sydney at a cost of $462,610.

There are plans to put up a new police station at the site.
