by The price of diesel went up overnight after the Energy Board used the interrupter clause to change the price early this week.
Diesel increased by 6.1 cents a litre and it now goes for a minimum of $2.45.3 cents in Cape Breton.
The Energy Board says the early price adjustment was needed because of a significant shift in the market price of diesel.
Meanwhile, the price of gas hasn’t changed.
A litre of gas still goes for a minimum of 1.90.4 cents on the island.
