Chant’s Funeral Home’s License Suspended After Last Weekend’s Fire

Service Nova Scotia says the licence for Chant’s Funeral Home in Sydney has been temporarily suspended because of a fire there last weekend.

The province says the fire caused extensive damage and the funeral home is unsuitable to operate.

The funeral home is not allowed to offer or provide any merchandise or services to the public during the suspension.

The province says the suspension remains in effect until repairs have been made.

Meanwhile, Regional Police have deemed the fire at the funeral home suspicious.
