Statistics Canada says Cape Breton’s unemployment rate was 10.4% in May.
That’s down from 11.6 % in April but up from 10.2% in May of last year.
Meanwhile, the national jobless rate edged down by three percentage points in May to 6.6%.
The federal agency says 88,000 jobs were created in the country last month.
Nova Scotia’s unemployment rate in May was 6.8%
That’s down from 7.1% in April.
