by RCMP tells The Coast that a 64-year-old Cape Breton man has died after a hit-and-run on the 125 Sydney bypass last night.
RCMP say the incident happened at around 9:30 last night between the George Street and Alexandra Street exits in the west-bound lane.
RCMP go on to say the man was on the highway when he was struck by a passing vehicle that failed to stop.
The man was taken to Cape Breton Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
RCMP add they are looking for a grey Volkswagen with damage to its front and passenger side.
If anyone has information on the car they’re asked to call RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
