Bus Pass Program Expanding In CBRM

The province’s Community Bus Pass Program is expanding in the CBRM.

Under the program, a free Transit Cape Breton pass is available to income assistance recipients, their spouses and dependants, as well as Disability Support Program participants.

The province says about 7,300 people in the CBRM are eligible for a pass.

People who are eligible can book an appointment online starting today to have their photo taken for the pass at one of three Opportunities and Social Development offices in the CBRM.

The first appointments will be on November 12th and people will get a temporary pass on the spot with a permanent pass arriving later in the mail.
