Boy hit by Pride Parade float

Yesterday’s Cape Breton Pride Parade was delayed for twenty minutes after a boy was hit by one of the floats.

Police say he was hit by the rear wheel of a trailer while he was walking.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance, and was conscious and talking to paramedics while leaving the scene.

Councillor Steve Gillespie says the boy did not suffer any broken bones or serious injury.
