RCMP Looking To Speak With Witnesses After Fatal Cabot Trail Crash

RCMP are looking for information from witnesses after a fatal crash on the Cabot Trail last weekend.

They say at about 7:45 Saturday night officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash near Blaze Road in Big Intervale.

They say officers learned a white Honda Civic went off the road and into a ditch and a 20-year-old man from South Harbour who was in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second person in the car was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say several bystanders helped the two people in the vehicle while first responders were on their way to the crash.

Any witnesses who haven’t yet spoken with police, and anyone with dashcam footage showing a white Honda Civic on the Cabot Trail or surrounding roads on Saturday night, is asked to contact Victoria County RCMP.
