Statistics Canada says Cape Breton’s unemployment rate was 9.8% in December.
That’s up from 9.2% in November and 9.4% in December of 2024.
Meanwhile, the national jobless rate went up three-tenths of a percentage point to 6.8%, last month.
Nova Scotia’s unemployment rate was 6.2% in December.
That’s up slightly from 6.1% in November and up from 5.9% in December of 2024.
