Four Arrested After A Shooting In Sydney

Cape Breton Regional Police have four people in custody after a shooting in Sydney early morning.

Police say they got called to the McDonald’s parking lot on Welton Street at around 4:30 where witnesses reported seeing a person fire a shot at two other people running toward Welton Street.

They say officers found three people in a vehicle at the scene that also contained a gun, and all three were arrested.

Police say a officers tracked a second vehicle that drove off when they arrived to James Street in Whitney Pier where it went off the road and the driver ran away.

They say that person was found and arrested at a home on Lingan Road.

Police describe the shooting as an isolated incident with all four people arrested knowing each other.
