Man Charged After Pallet Shelter Assault

Regional Police say a 43-year-old man is facing charges after another man was assaulted at the Pallet Shelter village at the former radar base in Sydney yesterday evening.

Police say they got called at around 6:00 about a fight between two men and that one of them was injured.

The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment of what police say are non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the man accused of assaulting him was arrested minutes later walking on Lingan Road.

Matthew Lloyd Senior is charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Breaches of a Release Order.

Police say both men know each other.
