Sydney Man Charged With Manslaughter Due In Court, Today

A 49 year-old Sydney man is due in Sydney Court this morning on a charge of manslaughter.

Regional Police say they responded to a report of an unconscious man near the intersection of Duke and State Street in Sydney shortly before midnight on Friday.

Police say officers found an unresponsive 51 year-old man suffering from a serious injury.

They say he was treated there and then taken to the Regional Hospital where he later died.

The 49 year old was arrested early Saturday morning.
