Province Funding Light Rail Study

The province has announced $610,000 in funding for a feasibility study to develop a battery-powered light-rail train service in the Regional Municipality.

It says the project is being led by Cape Breton University, building on existing infrastructure and the rail corridor.

The Premier’s Office says the study will include consultation with the community.

Work is expected to begin immediately.
