Bay St. Lawrence Man Accused of Axe Attack

An 18-year-old man was arrested in northern Cape Breton yesterday after RCMP say another man was hit with an axe.

Michael Deveau from Bay St. Lawrence is facing charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

Police say they learned of the assault after getting called to a home in Bay St. Lawrence shortly after 4:00 yesterday afternoon.

They say a 32-year-old Victoria County man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the two men know each other.
