People Can Now Book An Appointment To Get A Flu Shot

The Health Department says people in the province can book their seasonal flu vaccine appointment starting today.

It says the influenza vaccine is available for free to all Nova Scotians over six months old from most pharmacies, family doctors, nurse practitioners and family practice nurses across the province.

The Department says all Nova Scotians are encouraged to get the annual flu vaccine.

It says this is especially true for people at high risk of developing flu-related complications and the people who care for them.

The Health Department says people five years old and older can safely get the vaccine before, after or even at the same time as getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
